The Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office

Innovative research is the first stage of the innovation process, and it is precisely in this stage that knowledge with the potential for valorization is created in any scientific field.

To promote innovative research at the University of Latvia (UL), the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTO) facilitates the establishment of contacts and collaboration between researchers and external partners – businesses, social spheres, and government institutions, among others.

KTO provides diverse support to the university's core structural units (institutions) and personnel in implementing the innovation process, increasing and enhancing innovative capacity.
